Hi I'm Daun R. Johnson Sr.

I grew up in Phoenix, Az. I served a mission, The Southern States Mission (1961-1963). I'm a Mormon true blue through & through.

About Me

My name is Daun, I an the second, first son, of six siblings. A husband to My Queen, Janice (54 happy years), and dad to 3 sons and 4 daughters. They are all active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with strong testimonies of Jesus Christ and His Church. Our three sons received the Eagle Scout Award and our four daughters also earned The Young Women's Recognition Award. We are the Grand Parents of 40 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grand Children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because upon all my research and prayer, The Holy Ghost witness to me, I know that The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, along with the Bible. That the church is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ lead by living Prophets, Apostles & etc., under the direction of Jesus Christ through revelation today. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true and living church on the earth as testified by Jesus Christ Himself. That the Book of Mormon is true. That Thomas S. Monson is His ordained Prophet on the earth today. That Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ in the sacred grove as Joseph prayed in great faith seeking Wisdom from God as he had read in James chapter 5. He is the chosen prophet of this dispensation. He was called of God to restore and organize The Church of Jesus Christ again to the earth as Jesus Christ organized it when He was on the earth. I so testify of these truths through the witness of The Holy Ghost to me.

How I live my faith

I am a Home teacher. Sometimes I am involved in organizing events for the ward. Janice, my Queen, and I have served two missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have always been active in the Church and as well as helping raising our children, teaching them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After retirement we served a two year mission in the Taiwan Taichung Mission as Leadership and Teaching callings. We also served a two year mission in The Birmingham England Mission as leaders in the Young Single Adult Activity Center. We now serve in the Arizona Snowflake Temple and we have served in Ward and Stake Leadership Callings. We are still serving in various Callings.
