Hi I'm Lindsey Olsen

I want to be an ultrasonographer. I've traveled to over fifty countries. I'm obsessed with massive trees and tree houses.

About Me

Hey Friends! My name is Lindsey, I'm 19 years old and Cedar City, Utah is my home. I grew up traveling from country to country with my family. Through those journey's I learned not only to serve but to love unconditionally. I've seen things and have met people who have not only changed my perceptions but have opened my heart to care and love more. I hope to attend BYU Hawaii come the fall of 2016- but until then I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I can't wait to start this next adventure- My excitement is uncanny. This gospel has given me meaning and purpose and I wouldn't want to spend these next 18 months doing anything else. I am the second oldest of 4 kids and have the greatest family in the world. My siblings are my best friends and top dudes. I simply adore them to no end. Whether we are playing tennis, hiking, biking, building sand castles for hours, playing card games, doing puzzles, swimming, baking or having movie marathons we are having the best times. I love to be around any of God's creations - whether being nature or humans- He is incapable of creating anything that is nothing less than magnificent. Heavenly Father has blessed me tremendously and I can only be joyous and so grateful to be on this mortal adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love this gospel. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and is mindful of me. I know that my Savior died for me so that I could overcome spiritual and physical death. I'm a mormon because it blesses me with peace and comfort in moments when I need it. Though life is not easy and though there are many trials that come being a Mormon gives me a reason to get through the trials and the hard times. It gives me purpose and shows me that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I know that if I can endure to the end with my Savior as my foundation that I will be able to live with my family forever and be forever happy in God's presence. God does not just want us to be happy in moments - He wants us to be eternally happy. Being a Mormon has taught me that. I know it, I love it, and I truly do love it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by not only attending church every week but also by living my religion everyday. This last semester I had the privilege of serving the wonderful women in my ward. I was called to plan activities for the women's organization. Every week to every other week a committee of thirteen other girls and I would have meetings where we would plan exciting activities that would unite and bring the women of our ward together. I loved my calling because I get to interact, meet, and spend time with such sweet spirits. It gives me a reason to serve and love the daughters of God around me. For the next 18 months I will be serving as a missionary. I have been called to the Thailand Bangkok Mission and I will be speaking Thai. I live my faith everyday by praying, reading my scriptures, and remembering my Savior. If I do my best everyday and overcome the natural man I know that I will be able to live with my Heavenly Father and eternal family again someday.
