Hi I'm Daniel

I am from Spokane Washington. I am currently serving a Mission in Toronto Canada. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five, three boys two girls, and decided to serve a mission so that I could provide service to others. Since coming out I have realized that this was selfish of me. I came out purely to satisfy myself, and make myself happy by serving others, since being out here I have realized that I am here to bring others to the gospel, so that they too may know the joys which I know, even that they may take personal pleasure in simple service. My hobbies include reading. Anything. Especially textbooks and novels, though I have been reading only the missionary library since coming out here, and I have found the books contained therein to be fully enlightening, and of a quality that raises me to a higher level of understanding, not only of the gospel, but of all things. My interests are summed up in science. I like physics, chemistry, biology, statistics, o-chem, you name it. I especially enjoy simple laboratory practices, such as making silver pennies for my siblings, or making a hydrogen collection rig, or mixing up a batch of thermite to burn a hole in an engine block. I love to look at the complexities that surround us, in the cities, parks, schools, and forests, and seeing just how deliberate and precise each beautiful organism, or formation is. And then, to take comfort in the knowledge that it was created by a loving Father and Redeemer for us to enjoy and appreciate. I look around and see, hear, smell, feel, and taste the world around me, and know I am loved.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, and so have always had the blessings of the gospel in my life. I know now more than ever, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the one true church. I have seen so much, in the small time I have been out, of the unnecessary suffering of individuals and families. I see people who are in the same circumstances my family, who do not have the stable foundation of Christ. And they have crumbled. I know that if it were not for the influence of the gospel in my life, and in the home where I was raised, that I would be just as sorrowful, lost, and frustrated as the individuals I am trying to aid. There are so many instances where my family should have fallen to pieces, where we should have been scattered and dashed to pieces by the worldly influences. But as my family has built its foundation on the rock of our Redeemer, it has not fallen. The great winds, and the shafts in the whirlwinds have not prevailed against us. I know that this is the blessing of the gospel of Christ for families. I have felt the power of the Christ in my life. I have felt the peace and wholeness that comes from his forgiveness, and the

How I live my faith

I am, as previously stated, a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been called to teach the gospel in a manner which the Lord would approve of. By coming to know, love, and minister to would be strangers, and to share my message with them. While they may not accept my message, I know that if I do all that I can to obey the commands that God has given me, then my efforts are not wasted, and that the message I have shared will touch their lives in ways I cannot see. I have been called and set apart from that which is base, cheap, crude, low, vulgar, and vicious, to be set up to higher plane of thought. I know that by going forth, endeavoring earnestly to live the standards of the mission, I will be blessed to have the opportunity to enlighten the lives of others, and to constantly reside in the presence of the spirit. I spend every waking hour of my life either teaching the gospel, or preparing to teach the gospel. Most of my day consists of walking around downtown speaking with others, going door to door to check up on people, or teaching individuals who wish to hear my message.
