Hi I'm Riley

I'm an undergrad student at Utah State University studying Mechanical Engineering. I am preparing to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to go running, swimming, play tennis, baseball, dodge ball, and many other sports. I'm not very proficient at any of them, but I still love to be active and outdoors. I also enjoy being a full-time student at USU. Studying for school, practicing my religion, and preparing to serve a mission fill most of my time.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to follow the teachings of Christ because I know it is only through Him that I can live with God again. Christ suffered all things for me so that I, and all those who are ever born on this earth have a chance to live with them again after this life. The ultimate goal is eternal progression. In order to progress I know that I must accept Christ's atoning sacrifice and repent of all my wrongdoings. I must always strive to become like Christ and continually press forward. I choose to be a Mormon because I know that it is the only true church on the earth.

How I live my faith

Preparing to serve a mission is a very spiritual experience. I am constantly thinking about how I can better be prepared to share with others what I know to be true and how I can better serve those I will teach. I am excited to finally be out serving the Lord and the people around me. I love the gospel and all those who have taught me, and I am excited to pay that forward. I am also enrolled in a Book of Mormon class at the Logan Institute of Religion (the largest institute program in the world). This class has helped me gain insight on the teachings of ancient prophets in the Americas and strengthens my testimony that Christ is my Savior and Redeemer.
