Hi I'm Griffin

I played volleyball and basketball in high school in Northern California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 4 siblings and always lived in their shadow, but at the same time I enjoyed having obvious examples in front of me to live up to. People expected more of me because of them, and they are why I sang in choir, played basketball and volleyball, and ran for student leadership. My family has always been a great inspiration for me and a big part of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to associate myself with this church because I believe that it is the same church in organization, doctrine, function, authority, and purpose as the church which the Savior founded and led when he was on earth. This is important to me because I have a personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ and want to have the best resources to do their will. This is what brings me joy, living in harmony with my God. The church helps me to do that through regular church services, temple attendance, and other activities. I love and have loved the many opportunities to serve others in and out of the church. My association with the church enriches my life, helps me follow my Savior, and brings me closer to others and God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith most specifically through prayer to my loving Father in Heaven and keeping the commandments that He has given us. I really know that He is there, and that I can communicate to Him as personally as I can to any living person on earth. My faith is defined by a belief in that Father, and in his Son, Jesus Christ. Because of that belief I am impelled to come closer to Them by following what They have asked me to do. My Savior is an example to me, and I can feel a closeness and a love more fully when I do what He did on this earth.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Griffin
The Book of Mormon is the revealed word of God. It is a record of ancient peoples and their dealings with God, much like the Bible. It contains the writings of prophet-historians and focuses on Jesus Christ and testifies of his divinity and his role as our Savior and Redeemer. It has had a great effect on my life and always always always guides me to the truth that God wants me to find. Show more Show less
