Hi I'm Johnny Pao

I'm a pianist, travel enthusiast, younger brother, and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I'm currently a full time missionary serving in the Arcadia California. I've been a member my entire life, and I'm proud to be. My parents met the missionaries in Taiwan and were baptized 40 years ago, and God's been taking good care of them ever since. I'm a proud Asian Canadian, moved to China at a young age and left for Taiwan a few years after. Due to my dads work I've been moving back and forth between China and Taiwan for a while until I went to Provo Utah for high school and BYU in the near future. I love the world and the people who live in it and dream to travel to every country to learn about their cultures and chill with local residents. I have a sincere passion for music and love to play sports. I've spent 14 years playing the piano, half proficient in the violin, self learned the guitar, and did some accapella singing, so hit me up if you're looking to start up a chill jam session. I love playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, flag football, and making myself comfortable at my friends' houses. I also like playing video games.

Why I am a Mormon

Ive decided to stay active in the church because of the many blessings I've received through obedience to the principles I've been taught. Being Mormon brings me hope for the future as well as a greater perspective of life. It truly helps to know my purpose on this Earth and how I can be of great significance to my fellow men and to God. I know that Heavenly Father loves all of his children (myself included of course)

How I live my faith

I love God and I love my family. I live my faith by following the commandments of the lord and living the teachings of the prophets who were chosen by God to guide us. Faith in Jesus Christ has blessed me and my family in too many ways to list, and I'm grateful that during times of trial I've had the courage to kneel down in prayer and ask for help from our Heavenly Father. God has helped me in all manners of work, schooling, relationships, and planning for my future. I want to bring happiness to those around me as I serve them, and live with my family forever after this life. A full time mission is the first step in accomplishing my goal.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Johnny Pao
The Atonement was necessary because without it, we wouldn't have the chance to repent of our sins. If we can't repent, we will never reach celestial glory since we are all imperfect. Show more Show less
