Hi I'm Genysie

Grew up in Colorado most of my life. I'm the youngest of 7. and a twin. I love art, science, and working with kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of my immediate family. I have four brothers, two sisters, and one twin. He is kinda cool. The two of us are complete opposites, but at the same time right now in our lives are doing the same type of work. I have grown to love my family! I am overjoyed every time that I find out that my family is growing another person larger. I am a soon to be missionary and just can't wait. I have been called to Carlsbad California, and I report to the missionary training center November 5th of 2014. I love to do art (especially sculpture, but I do other kinds as well). I work outdoors doing conservation work. I run a chainsaw and other hazardous machinery. I enjoy the work especially when I come home exhausted. I hope to return to school once I come home from my mission. At this point I think i will be studying botany with a minor in art, but I have found that I have a passion to work with children that have down syndrome and autism. I am not sure why but I do. I spent my last year doing many things. First I went to school and in the spring I became a full time nanny for my brother's little girl. At that point I cared for five different families. I loved it. The children varied in ages and just made my day!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born in a home where my family already had the gospel. I have been given the opportunity to grow and learn for myself as to what it is I believe. I have lived through some rough times in my life, but because of the gospel I have been able to overcome the sadness and grief especially because of the knowledge of Christ and his sacred atonement. Because of the knowledge that I have I am able feel God's love more fully, I know my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ without a doubt. I know that I have a purpose in this life, and that this life is not all that there is. I am able to feel comfortable to turn to my savior to ask for help that I need to become better in my life and to be able to overcome the temptations that surround me. I am a Mormon because it is the one thing that brings me closer to my eternal goal.

How I live my faith

As a member of my faith it is an everyday activity. Whenever I get the opportunity to share what I believe I do. I love when people ask questions that I am not sure how to answer because it gives me the chance to search it out and learn for myself the truth and the answers so that I can share it with those who asked. No matter what I am doing I am always dressing modestly never just saying that just this once won't do anything. If I am willing to do it once, I am even more likely to do it again. I am not perfect but I am trying to be better everyday. I watch my language all the time; yeah I have slipped many times, but I have gotten to the point that I do not feel the need to curse when I am frustrated with others or an outcome. Those that work with me know my standards from the very first moment we meet, and most of them try to respect me with how they speak and how they act.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Genysie
The atonement of Jesus Christ was done by the only begotten of the Father. He was innocent and because of that he was the only one that could have preformed this act. Christ suffered and died so that he could prepare the way for us to return to our Father in heaven. All man kind are saved from physical death and all man kind can be saved from spiritual death through the atonement, for it is on all at once it is an everyday act. Show more Show less
