Hi I'm Mary

Hi, I'm Mary I am a wife, mother, homesteading enthusiast, book lover and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a wife and mother to 6. I LOVE to read and LOVE anything to do with homesteading. I've been a member since I was 9. I love the outdoors and enjoying all of God's creations. The thing I love most is my family! Being a mother is everything to me. It has helped me become who I am today and who I hope to become. I have learned through out my life that in the end, FAMILY is EVERYTHING.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 9 being my parents weren't always active. I knew the church was true. Even at the young age of 9. I was not raised in strong gospel centered home. In a way, looking back, it made me stronger. I had to find out on my own the church was true. I realized so many times in my life our loving Father in Heaven had his hand in my life. I've learned for myself God loves each and everyone of us as an individual. When it came time to find a spouse I knew I wanted to have my family forever. Even though I didn't know a lot at the age of 19. I had a deep desire to learn. People were put in my path to help me grow. I guess I can say I'm a Mormon because nothing in my life has brought me greater lasting happiness then the gospel of Jesus Christ and the covenants I had made.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying each day to better then I was yesterday. I teach my children about their Savior Jesus Christ and that through him peace and happiness will always be found. I teach the women in my ward on Sundays. Preparing for my lesson on a gospel topic has been so wonderful in my testimony growth. Teaching has been a huge challenge for me as I am terrified of public speaking. The church helps you grow in so many ways to become who Heavenly Father sent us here to become. As I live the gospel each day and strive to share it I feel closer to my Savior.
