Hi I'm Audrey Svedin

I am a farm girl from Idaho! I work hard, play hard, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a pretty typical American. I love being active and my favorite sports are volleyball, softball, and basketball. I also enjoy piano, guitar, and I LOVE singing. Throughout my life I have been blessed enough to have the opportunity to particate in serveral vocal performance competitions and to meet so many incredible people along the way. I love different cultures and trying knew things. My favorite thing to do is laugh and I do it as often as I can! I worked on the family farm growing up but also helped my mom remodel houses and we owned an event decorating business.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know without a shadow of a doubt that this church has the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. My faith and testimony of Jesus Christ has come from living and obeying the commandments, praying, receiving answers to prayer, studying the scriptures, and attending church every single Sunday. I know that God hears and answers prayers because I have prayed countless times and I have received answers. When I was 13 I read the Book of Mormon for the first time and asked if it was true and the Holy Ghost bore witness to me that it is true. Since that time I have prayed several other times to reaffirm my faith the answer has been the same every time. I know we have a living prophet today who receives revelation for all of us and if we follow his counsel we will be kept safe from the temptations of the adversary. I know living the standards Christ has set for me brings more joy than living any other way. I am so incredibly happy and I know the inner peace and joy I have comes using the atonement of Christ and doing what I know Christ wants me to do. I love this gospel and I would encourage everyone to put it to the test and see for themselves the joy it brings!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow Jesus Christ's example by always looking for opportunities to serve. Doing service always brings me so much joy and satisfaction, I feel like I get more from it than the people I am helping! While I was at college I volunteered at an assisted living center and made so many knew friends while I was there who taught me so much. I have also served in the church as a teacher, nursery teacher, and visiting teacher. It has been such a blessing for me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is completely service based and gives me the opportunity to exercise my faith by serving others and being God's hands here on earth.
