Hi I'm Audrey Smith

I grew up in Southern California. I am a student, a missionary, a friend, a daughter, and a sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student majoring in Exercise Physiology with a cluster of Biology and Sociology. I want to become a Pediatrician because I love kids and want to help them. I love basketball and football, Lakers, Chargers, and of course I am a BYU fan (Sorry Utes). I want to continue to travel the world and see the beauties of it whenever given the chance. Lastly, favorite foods; Stadium Pizza, In-N-Out, Spaghetti Factory, Wings N Things, and the Peanut Butter cup perfection from Cold Stone.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the way the gospel brings my family together and to know that I can return to my Heavenly Father. I can be with my family forever and that is a comfort to know for after this life. There is a sweet spirit when you are living the gospel, even during the hard times. We are here to become more like our Father in Heaven, what a better way than to learn and understand His doctrine. I know my life would be completely different without the gospel in my life and I am grateful for it's teachings and standards it holds for me. I am not ashamed of being a Mormon and never will be, even when some have looked down upon my religion. I only want to please my Heavenly Father and at the end of the day, that is all that matters :)

How I live my faith

When I was back at school, I was a teacher for the Relief Society, a class during church for all the women for ages 18+. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn and help others learn more about our gospel and the divine calling of a woman. My friends and I have been volunteers with the Helping Hands for our communities. We would help do service wherever our town needed the help. My parents have always taught the importance of family time. We always have family scripture study, family prayer, and family dinners no matter what. This is something that my parents have taught me that I will continue to do with my own family one day. There is a sweeter spirit in our home when we are doing these things as a family and I love it!

What is being a Mormon like?

Audrey Smith
Being a Mormon is great! It's almost like having a family outside of your own. We are always looking for ways to help each other, whether its to make dinners, help move someones things out of their house to their new home, or weeding their yards. I love how this religion is oriented with the importance of families, helping others aka service, knowing you're a child of God, and being able to strive to do our best here so we can return to our Heavenly Father. I couldn't be more grateful for the decision to be apart of this church. I love being a Mormon and am grateful for all the opportunities that are presented with being one. I have and will continue to life to its fullest, even as a Mormon :) Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Audrey Smith
YES!!!! Mormons are Christians! Our nickname has become Mormons, but our church is called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jesus Christ is the center of our religion. We love him and try to follow in His example for there is no better example than Christ himself. Show more Show less
