Hi I'm Mike Potter

Hey, I'm Mike Potter, I grew up on a ranch near Rigby, ID, I sing, play guitars, ride bulls and most importantly I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I was a kid I have loved horses, ranch life and of course bulls. I rode bulls until one day I decided I better quit so I didn't get injured badly like some of my close buddies did. I also sing a little bit and play a handful of instruments. Music has always been a good past time for me when I was down, sad, or just simply needed something to do. I also love to cook. I have placed in the top 3 in the year 2012 in an FCCLA cooking competition. After my mission I plan to receive my bachelors degree in applied paramedicine and from there go onto medical school to become a doctor. I am currently serving my mission in the Texas Houston East Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with a family that was LDS while I was in a foster care setting. Our Heavenly Father and the church helped me through that difficult time. Thats why I'm LDS.

How I live my faith

I am going to serve a Mission in Texas. I have lived worthy to go out and serve the many amazing people out there. I haven't had a calling in the church yet. I hope I can relate to people in the Texas area by helping them understand the bible better. If your feeling down search up 1st John 3:7.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Mike Potter
The atonement is a subject that can't really be explained fully but I will testify that it it one of the most amazing things anyone can feel. Jesus Christ sacrificed his life so that we may be forgiven of our sins. Thats why we go to church every Sunday, so we can be forgiven of our misdeeds and we can come unto Christ. we Partake of the sacrament every week so we can follow what our savior Jesus Christ sacrificed for us and to renew our baptismal convents.
