Hi I'm Maru Tani

I came from Philippines but recently residing now in Osaka, Japan with my husband. I was converted last August 2014

About Me

I am a wife but does not have children yet. I am an English and Japanese teacher to foreign students. I love cooking, travelling, biking and reading books.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Catholic for 29 years, it was hard for me to decide before to be converted in the church but when I was an investigator, i kept praying to Heavenly Father if this church is really true, while I am doing that many good thoughts came into my mind, it seems that Heavenly Father wants me to feel the real happiness which I did not experience before. I was grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter day-Saints because I learnt a lot of things specially in handling life`s circumstances, it made me more stronger and understand life deeper. I never had this happiness before until I was converted. I believe that the Holy Ghost is always with me to guide me what is the right thing to do...Before I did not know where I came from and where will I go after I will die but this church helps me to know and obtain an answer to my questions. I know that if I will live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and follow His commandments, there will be more blessings on my way and I can be with Heavenly Father in eternal life. I am very much grateful to the atonement of Jesus Christ that made possible for us to come back to our Heavenly Father`s presence.

How I live my faith

Since I am just a new member for 2 months since I was baptized in Philippines and living here in Japan now, I am trying my very best to be an active member so that I can endure to the end. I am looking some callings to the ward that I am going to belong here in Japan.
