Hi I'm Matt Harmon

I was born and raised in Utah. I play the Tuba; I sing Bass in choir; I study Chemistry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up number seven of eight children. Thus, I feel like I some pretty big shadows to overcome, which is why I "decided" to grow a few extra inches. I am 6'3" and I enjoy working out. Unlike most people that are large in stature like me, I'm not into any competitive sports. Rather, I enjoy "nerdy" stuff like playing tuba in band, singing bass in choir, learning foreign languages like Mandarin Chinese, and studying chemistry as my college major. That isn't to say that I don't like sports at all, though. I enjoy playing pick up games and, recently, I discovered rock climbing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because deeply rooted within my soul is a knowledge that this is Christ's church. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and that he wants me to be a part of this faith. I also know that by being a member of this church it will be ensured that I can be with my family for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

For the next two years of my life (2014-2016), I will serving as a full-time missionary in Singapore and Malaysia, inviting others to come unto Christ. I will be leaving my family and the only contact I will have with anyone except those within my mission will be through mail, email, and a phone call to my family on Christmas and Mother's Day. I am doing this so I can bless the lives of others with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
