Hi I'm Shane

I grew up in Idaho. I am a retired educator of 37 years. I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

My wife and I have raised one daughter and three sons. We also love our eight grandchildren. I love fishing and hunting in the back country and my greatest satisfaction is when I share these experiences with my family. I enjoy working with young adults as a health and physical education teacher, coaching athletic teams, and serving in the young men's program in our church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to the principles of the gospel. I was converted through the example of my wife and her family. I had the privilege to be baptized and confirmed a member of the church by my father-in-law. I love this church and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that it is the only true church on the earth today. It was restored to the earth through Joseph Smith under the direction of the Savior Jesus Christ. I know that we have a living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, and that he leads this church through revelation.

How I live my faith

I have served in many different capacities in the church and I have especially enjoyed working with the youth of our church as we completed many service projects and as they prepared themselves for missionary service. My wife and I also supported our four children as they faithfully served in the Halifax, Nova Scotia Mission, the North Denver, Colorado Mission, the Amsterdam, Netherlands Mission, and the Olongapo Philippines MIssion. At this time, my wife and I have been called as member and leadership missionaries and are looking forward to serving in the Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada Mission.
