Hi I'm Katherine

Hi, my name is Katherine I am the youngest of two and am a freshman at Academy of the Canyons. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am the youngest of two girls. I live in bright Southern California and have a pet dog named Benji. My older sister is currently serving a mission in the Santo Domingo East Mission and is in Curacao. I play violin and I play for the city's orchestra. I am currently going to a middle-college high school and hope to soon get a job. I spend my time studying, helping out in the house, reading, and crocheting. It is my dream to go to Columbia University and major in International Law so I can one day work in the UN.

Why I am a Mormon

Everyday the Lord's hand is evident in my life. It is hard to deny what has been made clear to me. I am a Mormon because through my faith in Jesus Christ and knowledge of His plan for me, I am simply a better person than I would be without it. The simple fact that the God of old is the same God we have today is what I love about this gospel. It will never change and will always be a support and guidance for me. This is the one true church of Jesus Christ in the world that has all His teachings and authority. I am grateful for the scriptures where I can find peace and joy through the writings of ancient prophets. I believe that through His loving sacrifice, Jesus Christ atoned for our sins so that one day, we can return to the Father.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a testament of my love and devotion to Christ. Through little everyday things, such as smiling, saying thank you to others, I can try to be more like Him. Living my faith is being patient, loving, and compassionate when things in life go rough. My faith is shown through service for others and opportunities to share the gospel.
