Hi I'm Taara

I've lived in Utah for my entire life. I love my family and friends SO much.... I'm a Mormon (and always will be!).

About Me

I have been raised in the LDS church and I love it! I wouldn't trade it for anything. My family can be noisy and frustrating--but aren't all of us? Especially when there are so many of us all together at once.. I love them so much and spending time with them, somewhere besides in front of the TV is my favorite. ;) My hobbies include tennis, swim, soccer, sand volleyball, drawing, painting, singing, baking, shopping and spending time with my family and friends. (I just like a lot of things, I like to have plans for the next day. :) ) I like Japanese anime and manga as well, I even cosplay from time to time with my sister! It's so fun! I may not be the best at a lot of these things, but it sure is fun to try! :) I have my Associates Degree in General Studies-with an emphasis on Japanese! Random, I know, but I've always loved it and now-- I am serving a mission in Japan! :D

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I KNOW that this is the true church. It was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, he truly did pray and receive an answer from our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the grove--he DID see them face to face. I can feel it every time I talk about it or read it. I have felt the joy, and the peace this gospel brings to my life. I am happier and more successful overall when I am following Jesus Christ's example. Of course there are days that I feel that I'm crazy, that this can't be true. But then, just as quickly, I feel that there is NO WAY that this is a false church. I live this gospel everyday, I love it, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have had times of hardship, times of struggle, times of sadness and loneliness, but my Heavenly Father knows me. He saw my struggling and He blessed me with people in my life that have uplifted me and strengthened me when I was at my lowest. I know, that He is always there for me. I've prayed about the Book of Mormon and received a testimony of it, it speaks the word of God and of true prophets of God. I love it. The Book of Mormon is the true word of God on this earth today, it is Another Testament of Jesus Christ along with the Bible. The leaders of our church are true disciples of our God. Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet, chosen to lead in this day. I know it, I love him and all his apostles and I am thankful to them for sharing the words God would have us hear in these days. Without this church I would be lost, I wouldn't know what my purpose in life would be. I'd be living, but not happy. Through this gospel I have found my purpose, I've found joy. We are all Children of God. He has a plan for each of us and He wants us to succeed! He knows us personally and He loves us more than we could ever comprehend! Jesus Christ is our Savior, our Redeemer, our brother and our friend. Christ completed the Atonement for us and They want to help us everyday. This is the true church. And I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have felt that through my life, even though I don't always realize it at the time--but I usually do later-- my Heavenly Father is there for me. He has guided me since I was young and He continues to do so today and everyday. I haven't had very many callings in our church but the few that I've had have meant the world to me. They've helped me open up to more people, learn about myself as well as others and gain the testimony that I need to keep myself strong in this gospel. Visiting teaching is one of my favorites so far, as of right now I haven't been able to sit and give them a lesson at all but I have been able to go and see them and visit them. I love giving them little gifts each months--it's like a Secret Sister gift every month! (Except you always know who it is from ;D) I'm SO excited to fulfill my calling as a missionary! I look forward to every day that I will get to go forth and serve the people of my mission. As well as to be able to be a representative of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is my brother, my friend and He knows me, our Father in Heaven knows each of us and He knows what we are capable of, if we just put our trust in Him. Each and every day, I do my best. :)
