Hi I'm Jenessa

I grew up here in Utah, I am a friend to everyone and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a friend to everyone. I like to be active and play sports. I like basketball the most, even though I am petite and small. I don't let that get in the way of anything. I stand up for what I believe in. I have worked with special needs people for the past two years. I love those people because out of every one in the world they are the most likely to accept you for who you are and love you no matter what. School has always been hard for me ever since I was in elementary and still to this day it is hard, but what I learned from staying up with my dad doing home work those late nights, is that don't give up. You can do anything you set your mind to do, even if it is a hard thing. So don't give up. Don't let anything put you down, because everyone is special and has different trials.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, this church makes me happy and it helps me get through my trials. I have found out for myself if it is true by praying to Heavenly Father. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it has helped me over and over in my life. I have a testimony of prayer and of the Holy Ghost. I know that if you just ask Heavenly Father for help with anything He will answer you or send someone to help you. He has done this multiple times in my life. Sometimes when I feel alone He sends one of His children to help me. I know that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us so much and He will always be there for you. You only need to ask. Prayers are not always answered in the way we would like them to be answered. You might think, "He didn't hear me or He doesn't care", but our Heavenly Father does hear you and does care a lot about you. The Holy Ghost has testified of truth to me tons of times in my life. I had an experience that I will never forget. My friend and I were on our way riding scooters to a nearby school. I had this feeling in my heart and head. This voice said "slow down". I didn't listen because I thought it was myself thinking we were going to fast. A couple seconds later my friend crashed on her scooter. At first I thought she had just scraped her hands and knees but there was more blood dripping from some where. I then realized it was her chin she had cut open when she fell. I was so terrified that my best and dearest friend was hurt and freaking out because I didn't listen to the voice inside my head. I told myself that day that I was going to listen each time I heard the voice. I love this church. I have found out for myself that it is true. God talks to us through prophets just like the Bible when Jesus was on the earth.

How I live my faith

I like to help others by watching their kids when they need it, clean their house so they can come home to a clean one. I like to serve people. At work I often have to stand up for what I believe in because they don't believe what I do. But the bonus with this, I have had lot of missionary experiences. In church, I am in the primary, with the kids that range from 2-11. I specifically teach with the 7 turning eight year old kids. I love this calling it is so much fun. Another leader and I teach a lesson to the kids and then we sing uplifting songs like Families Can Be Together Forever. or I Am A Child Of God. I love going to church, because not only can I see these wonderful kids but I come closer to Heavenly Father each time I go. I learn something new each week and it helps me through the next week.
