Hi I'm Ayoung

Family means everything to me. I am serving as a full-time missionary in Missouri and I am living the dream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Korea and I am a college student studying International Relations in Utah. I am the oldest of 5 kids. I have the best parents in the whole world who are so good to me and they are everything I ever want to be. I love to draw and to learn new languages, and it's always thrilling to be able to talk to someone from a different country with their native language. After graduating from high school in Korea I went to college in Utah and learned how to work my own way through college and life. I believe in working hard and playing hard. Currently I am serving as a full-time LDS missionary in Missouri/Kansas area and I am loving it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know for myself that these doctrines are true. My parents were converts and I grew up in the church. But I think we all come to a point where we can't just live off of our parent's faith and belief. For me, reading, studying, and living the teachings of the Bible and the Book of Mormon played a key role in my conversion to the LDS church. The Book of Mormon has always provided an answer to my questions in my life and has been a huge comfort for me when I am going through a tough time. I can literally say that Heavenly Father has been speaking directly to me to help me and guide me and comfort me when I was reading from the scriptures. The more I read the scriptures and live according to the teachings of the church of Jesus Christ of LDS I came to know for myself that my life is full of light, hope, faith, and charity towards all other people.

How I live my faith

As a missionary my purpose is to invite others to simply come unto Christ by helping them to learn and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. We go about and invite everyone I meet to know what they can do more to add more to strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ and understand God's plan for us and our family. We also visit our neighbors and members of the congregation to do service and share an uplifting message. The most important thing I've learned about my mission is that Heavenly Father has a plan for each and every one of us. He places small and simple things/people in our lives at specific times and places to lead us to His truth. The best part of my mission has always been those small moments when the Holy Ghost was telling me that I am being a small part of Heavenly Father's plan for His children.
