Hi I'm Hannah Hamann

I am half Australian and half American. I am a Daughter of God. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young person currently living in Sydney, Australia. I follow what I am passionate about and actively seek out the things that bring me happiness. I had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer for my church in the England London South Mission. It was a special experience that I hold close to my heart. It was something that brought me so much happiness and greater understanding of why I am here, and the things that I can accomplish in this life. I am currently pursuing my dreams of becoming a speech pathologist, and hope that as I do this that I'll make a difference in the lives of others for good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I asked. Who did I ask? The very person who has all the answers: God, or as I like to refer to Him: Heavenly Father. The answers came gently through little experiences that probably wouldn't mean as much to others: but they were exactly what I needed, and Heavenly Father knew that. He knows me individually, my strengths and weaknesses, and how to whisper to my heart. I am a Mormon because of experiences with Prayer, reading in the Book of Mormon, Going to church, Feeling the Holy Spirit. I think that more importantly I am STILL a Mormon because feeding your faith takes time, and I am willing to put in that effort. The result of that effort is Goodness and Happiness and Eternal Families and Purpose in life. I am a Mormon because I choose to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily. That means praying because I know that God hears me, not because I was taught to do it or it's a routine. Reading from the scriptures, specifically the Book of Mormon, because I find strength and calm and answers. I live my faith by being a good person and reaching out because that's the person I've become, because I genuinely care for others. I live my faith through resilience. When things happen that I don't understand I ride out the storm, and keep close to God. It always brings me more answers than questions, and always brings me closer to Heavenly Father and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.
