Hi I'm Bob

I was raised in Northern California. I attended college in Central Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy singing, reading, gardening and traveling. I have done volunteer work for Boy Scouts of America, everything from scout master to serving on a number of district positions. I have served in a number of positions on the local level of the Lions Club. Over the past 42 years I have worked in the area of Facilities Management. I have been a member of the state and national organization of Association Physical Plant Administrators.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a area that was predominantly non LDS. At a very young age I had a recording that had many of the stories of the Old and New Testament. I loved these stories and knew that they were true. I also learned at an early age to pray. I learned this in my home and through these recordings and through attendance at church. Because of these things I gained great faith in the Savior and what he has done for me. I came to know in a very personal way that he is literally my Savior and that he loves me. Not only me but all people every where! I am a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings more peace and joy in my life than anything else. I know the Book of Mormon is true and is a 2nd wittness of my Savior Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I believe in a Godhead that consist of three distinct personages but being one in purpose. Their will is convey to a living prophet and twelve living apostles. Though I cannot not comprehend His divine nature or majesty, I view Him as the Eternal Father of all mankind.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve for a number of years as a T- ball baseball coach and youth basketball coach along with serving as a scout leader. I have had the opportunity to help youth to learn a number of life skills as well as camping skills. I have also trained a large number of adults to serve in a variety of scouting positions both within the local units and district levels. I have served as the leader of a faith based organization. While serving in this position I had the opportunity to work with a variety of people from several different backgrounds. It's been my privilege to teach many youth and adults on a weekly basis within my office and in their homes. One of the things I have enjoyed doing over the years is baking banana nut bread. Over the years I have had the opportunity to share this bread with many different people. During the last seven years I've had many opportunities to organize leadership training for adults that work with youth and other adults. This was done on a multi congregational level. This has been very challenging, but at the end of each training I have found them to be very self fulfilling.
