Hi I'm McKenna Young

I was a military kid. I love music and family. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Because my dad was in the United States Air Force all throughout my childhood, I had the opportunity to live in a few different places around the U.S. He ended up retiring in southern Illinois, and that's where I claim my hometown! My family has always been very music oriented, and I learned to play the piano and sing. I also like to take part in plays and musicals. I am now a sophomore in college, and I hope someday to become a physician's assistant. I am also going to serve a mission in Germany, beginning in January. Being the 6th of 8 children, I've always had good examples to look up to. My parents and siblings are some of the best people I know! I hope that someday I can raise a family in the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe. Faith did not always come easy to me, but as I prayed and studied the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, I felt that it was true. I feel the overwhelming love that our Father in Heaven has for me and each and every one of his children. I know that Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself that we might be able to return to him someday. The gospel of Jesus Christ also gives me hope and comfort that I have the opportunity to live with my family forever, and that's the best thing in the world!

How I live my faith

Right now, I live my faith as I serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. During this time, I have the opportunity to live in Germany and share the gospel there for the next year and a half.
