Hi I'm Ike Nilsen

I was born in Oceanside, California. I have lived in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nebraska, Utah, and Arizona. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I love sports. I have played football and wrestled most of my life. My favorite sports teams are Michigan State and Arizona State. I come from a large family. I am the second oldest of seven children. Five boys and two girls. I have lived all over the country while my father was going to school to become a surgeon. Now we have settled in Arizona where my dad is a orthopedic surgeon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have not been a "Mormon" my entire life. I grew up in a family where the principles were taught and where I was baptized when I was 8 years old, but I chose to go astray from the gospel for the better part of 4 years. I let other things rule my life that were not beneficial to me or the people I came in contact with. It took a very powerful push to cause me to rethink my actions. Once I did I had lots of help to better myself. My own conversion came in pieces and took a little while. But now I Know that the Lord cares for me. I Know that the church is true, I Know that Jesus died on the cross for me, and I Know that through the atonement I can one day make it back to heavenly father and live with him in the celestial kingdom.

How I live my faith

Currently I still attend the youth group on sunday and help teach the 16-18 year olds. I help out with lessons and with youth outings as much as I can. Also i home teach 2 family's and me and my companion have not missed a month the whole time we have been together. Very soon i will be leaving for the next 2 years. I have the opportunity to go out and serve the Lord on a mission. I will be going to Tampa, Florida. There I will teach the word of God to everyone who is ready to hear it. I am very excited to be able to do this and can't wait to leave.
