Hi I'm Les

I grew up in Michigan and Arizona where I had a career in engineering. I am a Morman!

About Me

I joined the church when I was 43 after I met and married my wife of over 30 years. I have four boys and six grandchildren. Besides my family, I love NASCAR racing, reading a good novel, playing racquetball, and everything about cars, tractors, airplanes, and trains.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I learned that to be a good person did not necessarily mean I would be happy. I learned that happiness came from following the great guidelines given to us in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The church offers the members opportunities to grow as a person and take leadership roles that help not only ourselves individually but also sets the example for our families. We are given stewardship(s) over families that greatly increase our circle of friends. The bonus is that they are also trying to be Christlike and have similar responsibilities. I love being a Mormon because I love being happy and knowing I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

My wife and I have been fortunate to teach the youth. We are convinced that the teacher learns the most and that was a critical need for us as we joined the church as adults. The youth help us to be anxiously engaged in many really fun events. Besides being Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus for the younger children, we enjoyed holding annual youth conferences (camp outs!) as well as working with Scouts to earn their rank advancements.
