Hi I'm Alaundra Ibarra

I am in college. I am studying Social Work. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old. I love to play volleyball and I'm a big fan of the NFL. I love watching Football. My family is big. Spending time with my family is something I love to do. I speak Spanish and I love Mexican food. My grandma teaches me how to make something new every time I visit her.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a blessing to me. The knowledge I have because of the gospel has helped me throughout my life this far. I grew up in the church but I questioned it many times. The thing is every time I questioned a doctrine I always found it to be true. I found that truth and the truth I now testify of through studying the Book of Mormon and The Bible and praying about my questions. each time I have asked for understanding I have received a witness through the spirit from god. I know that God lives and his son Jesus Christ Live. I know that Jesus Christ died for each and everyone of us so that we could be given the opportunity to repent for our sins and become perfected through him. I know that Families can be together forever and one day live with god in his celestial kingdom together. I know that we are all children of our God. I know that because God loves us, through Joseph Smith his gospel was restored which is the same gospel he taught while he lived on this earth. And I know that through the gospel you can receive true happiness in your life no matter what struggle you are facing.

How I live my faith

From the time I was two years old till now, my family and I have attended a Spanish Branch(Congregation). We go to church every Sunday and participate in activities throughout the week. I have taught the nursery where children 18 months to 3 year old go to class on Sundays for Sunday school. I was released from that position and am now teaching a family history class.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Alaundra Ibarra
Family relationships can last forever—not just for this life. Just as some of life’s sweetest joys can come through family associations, the loss of a beloved family member can be a source of our deepest sorrows. Jesus Christ gave power to His disciples to seal families together forever when He said, “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19). I know that I can see all of my family members once again and if we all follow the commandments of the lord we can share forever together. with this knowledge I feel comfort even when a family member has died and the loss I feel doesn't last very long.
