Hi I'm Aprille

I was born in the Philippines. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I got married to my husband in 2012 and while he serves in the military as a dentist, I try to pursue a nursing career. I love going to the beach on the weekends and enjoy doing outdoor activities. We have a cute little pug named, Paco Sanchez, who entertains us daily.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? It's simple because I believe in my Savior, Jesus Christ. My family and I grew inactive when I was a teenager, and I spent many years after without the gospel in my life. It felt like there was always something missing.. After several invitations from one of my sisters to attend a church service with her, I finally accepted. On my very first Sunday back as I was singing the church hymns, I felt the Holy Ghost so strong in me. It felt as if I was home...back to where I belonged. I will never forget that feeling. My reactivation to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints started there. I started reading the Book of Mormon and it truly is the word of God. It has a changed my life for the better. The whole time I was living my life without the gospel, I was carrying my own burdens all by myself and at times those burdens were too heavy to bear. By reading the Book of Mormon, I have learned about our Heavenly Father's plan for us. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, died for us to carry all the burdens of the world if we just "come unto Christ". (Moroni 10:32). He gave me hope, and showed me joy when I live His commandments. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and He has sent His only begotten son to redeem us all, so that I can, one day, return to His presence. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the Young Women's president in my ward. So I work with ages between 12 and 18 years old, and I love it! They keep me feeling young :) It's a privilege to be able to serve these young women and witness their testimonies grow as they learn to exercise their faith with every daily challenge they face at school, at home, with friends, etc.
