Hi I'm Adam

I love Engineering and I'm a Mormon :)

About Me

I am currently studying Civil Engineering at University. I love maths and science and hope one day to be a chartered engineer. I am from a family of 11 children and was raised in the church by my parents who were converts. I play the violin and like playing basketball, volleyball and most other sports. I served a mission for the church in South Africa which was the hardest two years of my life but I would not trade that time for anything in this world. It trained me for life and marked out a pattern for how I will live in the future. I have come to know the Saviour Jesus Christ and I bear record that He lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church but I needed to know for myself if it was all true. So I decided to experiment, to exercise some faith by reading the Book Of Mormon and praying about it to know if it was true. It was quite a task but I finished reading the book and I knew it was true. Time and time again I have felt the Spirit confirm that Jesus is the Christ and that the Book Of Mormon is indeed the word of God. These feelings have been witnessed to me on many occasions. Studying the scriptures and prayer helps me everyday, the words of the prophets are true and revelation has not ceased and will never do so. I know that God is our Eternal Father and Jesus is His Son and atoned for everyone who has lived, is living and will live. God will forgive sins if we repent and come unto him. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and the Book Of Mormon is true. I cannot deny I know it to be true. The gospel is a gospel of love and is the only way to true happiness, and has been revealed to us by a loving Father in Heaven

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being in the world but not of it. I used to teach the young adults at church which helped me to learn about the gospel and visit members to see what they needed. I strive to have daily meaningful personal prayers which are sincere and heartfelt. This brings peace into my life as do the scriptures. I try to keep the standards of the church which are there to protect us given by a God who loves and cares for his children.
