Hi I'm Peter

I'm a missionary serving in Germany. I grew up in Michigan. I'm an Eagle Scout, a lifeguard, an outdoorsman, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but I've lived in California and Washington state, and grew up in the Mitten State (Michigan). I love Boy Scouts, specifically tying knots and surviving in the wilderness. The outdoors are my home away from home. I started my own lawn business going into high school, to pay for my extracurricular activities. I played varsity football, club rugby, sang in a mens' acapella group, acted in several plays and musicals, and danced at a studio. After graduating high school, I picked up a job as a lifeguard/ camp counselor/ swim instructor at the YMCA to help pay for my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the covenant, which means that both of my parents were members of the church already. My family has continued to actively participate in church callings and activities. When I was little, my mom read the scriptures to me every night. I have always had a solid foundation in the gospel of Jesus Christ, but I personally choose to follow the teachings of my Savior because I have seen the blessings and miracles that faithful, righteous living has brought to my family, myself, and others around me. I know this is the true church, because it teaches the fullness of the gospel of the resurrected Jesus Christ. I know of the truth of the Book of Mormon, and I know Joseph Smith was a true Prophet, called of God to restore His church upon the earth in this dispensation. I know President Monson is the living Prophet today. I know that my Savior and Redeemer lives.

How I live my faith

I have served faithfully as a leader in the young men organization several times, and before serving a mission, I taught a Gospel Essentials class. I have participated and performed in many musical and cultural events, both in the community and in my ward. Now I am fulfilling my duty to God by choosing to serve a full-time mission for two years in Germany.
