Hi I'm Mariana

I love both art and martial arts. I sing and lead music. I would be nowhere without my wonderful family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to create, whether it's with duct tape or clay, pencil or paint. I hope to pursue a career in the arts in the future. Many people are surprised to hear that I'm a martial artist, but I've found that I enjoy learning to strengthen my mind, body and spirit through practicing Karate and Taekowndo. I also love music, though I really have only learned to sing and don't know how to play any instruments well. I'm currently serving as the choir directer for my local church congregation. Last but definitely not least I have a wonderful family who I love playing board games with whenever we are together.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I have read, pondered and prayed about the Book of Mormon and I know it is true scripture. I know that God loves us and would not leave us without guidance, so He called prophets in our day to lead and guide us. I know that my life has meaning and purpose. I know that Jesus Christ was a real person who lived, suffered and died for each one of us.

How I live my faith

I'm going on a mission to Mississippi/Louisiana area in starting 2015. Which means I will be inviting everyone I meet to come to Christ though the restored gospel, full time while I'm there for 18 months. Though I know it will not be easy to knock on stranger's doors without knowing how they will react, I'm really looking forward to this opportunity to share the joy and blessing that living the gospel brings with others. I am preparing for my mission by studying the scriptures and praying daily and also by earning the money I will need to support myself while I am serving.
