Hi I'm Carly Cannon

I was born and raised in South Carolina. I'm a student at Brigham Young University- Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a South Carolina native but my family and I now live in Arizona. I love anything water and my happy place is at the beach. I have swam competitively all my life and I have loved working as a lifeguard and swim instructor. I enjoy being on land almost as much as the water and I have loved being able to play lacrosse. I also have a passion for hiking and anything outdoors. I was in college for a year but I have taken a year off of school to prepare to serve a mission for our church for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me peace and comfort in a world of chaos and turmoil. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands firm and never falters in an ever-changing world. It brings me even more peace to not have any doubt about where I am came from, where I am going, or if I even have a purpose here on this earth. With the gospel of Jesus Christ, all my questions are answered and nothing is left to wonder or left blank. We believe the family to be the most important unit on the earth, and it brings my soul eternal joy to know that I can be with my family forever, even after this life is over. We are also a church that believes in Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I have a love so deeply for my Savior and I am eternally grateful for his atoning sacrifice for my sins. I know that if I just repent of my sins and follow Him, I can receive exaltation in the life to come. I am a Mormon because I have prayed and come to know for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the one true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others and serving my God to the best of my abilities. I try my best to follow all of His commandments and live in harmony with His teachings. In our church, I was called to help and plan activities for the young single adults and my previous calling was teaching the sunbeam children, or the three and four year olds. I have found joy in teaching and planning activities to further progress the work of The Lord. I also live my faith day to day by living a clean and virtuous life and in doing so has made me more happy and healthy than I have ever been.
