Hi I'm Charity Moaga

Talofa in Samoan we say hello!! My name is Charity and have I am a proud LDS Member.

About Me

Talofa Lava! My name is Charity Moaga and I am currently residing in Adelaide, Australia. I was born and raised in humble circumstances by goodly parents where my father was a convert and my mother who was brought up into the church in the islands of Samoa. Both of whom served faithful missions. I am of Samoan descent and respects and honour the cultural aspects of my Samoan heritage. On that note I love to share my culture through song and dance as well as show-casing other culture around the South Pacific. There I gained a great interest in 'Polynesian Dancing'.Alongside with my interest in cultural dancing I have other interest and hobbies, ranging from spending time with family, jamming out favourite songs/hymns,with family and friends, playing volley and touch football (or anything with a ball really) and most importantly eating food!! I am so grateful for the love abound in the home and the relationship that I have with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to be blessed to be raised in the church. However, most people tend to think that children would rely on their parents and do as they are told e.g. attend church. On the contrary, from primary we have always been taught the basics of CPR = Church, Praying and Reading the scriptures, in order to recieve our own personal witness through the Holy Ghost if the church was true. I made the decision to be baptised from learning from a young age that great blessings come from doing the will of the Father. I am Mormon based on the fact that we have a purpose here on earth and that God and His son Jesus Christ created a plan for us so that we may be made worthy to come back to live in His prescence. I know that through studying and pondering the scriptures that we can obtain personal revelation, constant strength, answers and reliability on the Saviour. I am Mormon because I know it, I live it and I LOVE IT!!

How I live my faith

I have a love and passion for music, so on that note I have been able to serve the people in my ward through sharing my talents. I am currently a ward pianist/organist, where it is my responsibility to play the organ for church meetings every Sunday. I was first called as a ward pianist/organist at the age of 10, which seems surprising, however before then I did not want anything to do with playing the piano. Being a little primary girl I was overwhelmed, however I realised it was just purely a blessing, where I am allowing the spirit to come into meetings, so that those present may feel of the unfeigned love that the Saviour has for them. That is my contribution to how I actively live by faith by always preparing myself both spiritually and physically to act on my responsibilities. It is this that I know that as I serve within my calling, the Lord is working through me for the benefit of others as the scriptures testify that 'when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of God'. I truly believe that actions speak louder than words, that it is through living and acting on the things that are taught through the standard works (Bible, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price and Doctrine & Convenants) , that we are reading and doing it accordingly to the faith in our Saviour, Jesus Christ that he lives. #InstrumentInGodsHands #FirstObserveThenServe
