Hi I'm Kalee

My whole life I was an army brat and now I am an army wife and mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to a beautiful and crazy three year old boy and a wife to a hardworking and handsome soldier. I recently just graduated from college and dental assisting school and am now working at a dental office. I love my family and feel so blessed to be apart of their lives every day. I love to sing. I love to travel and go on adventures. I love making other people happy. I love the gospel and modern day technology so that those of us who feel the same way can share our testimonies to the world. It is a beautiful thing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I love it. It has brought immense happiness into my soul and into my life. I feel like I would be lost without it. The older I get and the more I experience only makes my love for Jesus Christ grow. My gratitude for all that He has done for me and all He has endured only makes me want to live my life in a way that honors Him and that shows Him how much I love Him and how much I would do anything for Him. The gospel brought me so much joy growing up and taught me the importance of making good choices always and following the path that God created for us so that we may live with Him again. I want to teach my son that and I want him to feel the joy the gospel brings. The joy that I have felt my whole life because of it. I know that life can be hard and that there are times we may feel like we may never be happy again. But I know with all the strength that I possess, that the gospel of Jesus Christ can show you the way out of your internal stormy maze that you may feel like you may never escape. I know that the gospel can shine hope in those who feel hopeless and that it can be an anchor for everyone. It has been my anchor my whole life keeping me grounded in goodness. And above all it has been my light house, shining the direction I must go in, helping me with the choices I should make and how I should live my life so that I may live with my Heavenly Father again. My sweet grandmother used to always tell me every time I left the house "to go with joy". Well I know that once it is my time to leave this earth life, I will go with joy because of the knowledge I have of who I am and where I am going: this is the joy the gospel brings in my life. This is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

First off, I am more than grateful for my parents who taught me well. They always made sure that we went to church every sunday and were as active as possible in church and church activities. As a family of 6 we prayed every day. It was a normal thing. There was definitely love at home because of the atmosphere my parents created daily by centering our lives on the gospel. I think of my mother and father every single day for the happy life they gave me. I can't even tell you the gratitude I feel for them. There are no words. Just tears of thankfulness for them and everything they have given me. I am who I am today because of their examples. Now that I have my own family I am trying to do the very best I can to teach to my three year old son everything my parents taught me: to choose the right and to love the Lord. When my son folds his arms, my heart melts. When he says amen, my heart melts. It is the little things that I teach that will make a huge difference in his life later on. Being a mother is overwhelming and difficult and we all feel inadequate most of the time. A song I love gives much wisdom saying "line upon line, precept on precept, that is how He lifts us, that is how he teaches His children". Sometimes God teaches us little by little each day. The same can be said for how I try to teach my child and how I try to live the gospel each day: by doing little things that make my Heavenly Father proud. I know He doesn't expect me to be perfect but I will try my hardest to be the best person I can be in hopes that He is smiling down on me with every choice that I make.
