Hi I'm Curt

I grew up in Maine. My grandmother joined the Church in 1924. I am happily married.

About Me

My principle hobby is ham radio; call sign K7CU. My wife and I have 9 children. I attended the University of Maine, eventually graduating from BYU with a BA in Physics and a MPA graduate degree. I spent 38 years in software development. I have been active in Scouting. I have served on 4 Wood Badge staffs, 2 of which were bilingual English/Spanish and I am a Silver Beaver.

Why I am a Mormon

I find great spiritual strength from my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been blessed with personal assurance, through prayer and study, that Heavenly Father and Jesus have revealed, by the testifying of the Holy Ghost to my spirit, that prophets live today. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and have prayed to know of its truthfulness. The Holy Ghost has confirmed to me that the Book contains the word of God and is another testament of the divinity of our Savior. I am a member of the Church because I know that it is the earthly repository of the doctrines, principles and ordinances that my Heavenly Father and His Son have revealed for my eternal happiness and the eternal happiness of my family.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to work with the youth of the Church for over 25 years, including many different Boy Scout leadership positions, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Varsity Scouts. I am active in my faith by praying with my family, enjoying a Family Home Evening once a week, and accepting various opportunities to serve as I am asked.
