Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in Utah. I love playing ukulele. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from High School and am about to serve a mission! I loved doing choir in high school, and ceramics. I love the outdoors, and things like hiking and camping. I love Mexican food, and playing ukulele.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it has given me purpose, joy, and comfort in life. We believe that we have a Heavenly Father, and a Savior, Jesus Christ. They have made a plan for each of us, so we can be happy and live with our families forever. We believe that Jesus atoned for our sins when He was crucified on the cross in Gethsemane. Not only did he atone for our sins, but He felt every pain that every person has ever had to bear. He did this so we could repent when we make mistakes and be made clean again. He also did it so He would know exactly how we feel whenever we are going through hard times. Both He and our Heavenly Father love us unconditionally and want nothing more than for us to be happy, and to become the best person we can be. They are with us every step of the way. There was a time in my life where I felt very alone. A lot of my friends had become flaky, and I started to feel unwanted or not important. I had been praying for help. On a trip to St. George to watch my brother play baseball, there was some down time between games. We went to the St. George temple Visitor's Center to take up the time. In the process of walking around, I got separated from my family and I started to walk around by myself to find them. I came into the room with the statue of Jesus, and surprisingly there was no one else in there. I slowly walked over and stood right in front of it, staring up at Jesus' face with His arms stretched out towards me when I felt a powerful sensation come over me. For the first time in a while I felt like someone really cared. It was as if He was right there, and ever since I've known that He is right there by my side even though I can't see Him. I know He still lives and loves each of us. All we need to do is come unto Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every week. In the past I have served as a class leader in our ward's Young Women's Program. I got to help plan fun activities to bring the neighborhood girls closer together and to help us develop our testimonies together. I have sung in the ward choir.
