Hi I'm Elisa

I am a college student and a performing arts teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and badminton. I grew up in a big family (of 8 kids) and love spending time with my nieces and nephews. I am currently studying vocal music education in school.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the church, but as I've lived the principles of the gospel and really tried to put the things that it teaches into action, it's become so much more to me than just the lifestyle I grew up in. I know that the church is true because it helps me to be a better person. I feel happy when I read the scriptures, go to the temple, or do service for someone in need. I prayed to God and received a personal witness from Him that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that God loves His children and that He answers our prayers. And because this is true, I feel like nothing else matters. It's worth every bit of effort you make to follow Christ--because it's true.

How I live my faith

Currently, my calling is to organize weekly prayers for my church group. We get together every Sunday night to pray together, eat, and socialize. It is a good way to get to know one another. I also have a responsibility to visit certain women in my ward as a "visiting teacher." I enjoy just checking in on them every once in a while to let them know that I am their friend and am there for them if they need anything. We sit and talk about the church and what's new in our lives. I also have recently made the decision to serve a full time mission for the church. For 18 months I will do nothing but preach the gospel, serve, and help others to feel the love of Christ. I'm excited for this experience and hope it will be a blessing in my life and in the lives of others.
