Hi I'm Chandler Whittaker

"I grew up in Spanish Fork Utah, I love Journalism and want to earn a degree in T.V Broadcasting. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I decided to serve because I love the Lord and I really want other people in the world to know that there is a loving and caring God. Though I love the Lord and want to serve him with all my might, I am like any other person. I love reading fantasy books, singing along to the radio and watching old TV series. I like Journalism, specifically the side around TV Broadcasting. I graduated from High School and was accepted into college and can't wait to learn more. I look forward to finding the woman of my dreams and raising a family with care and love. I have three siblings who are such great reminders of caring and compassion and good parents who have taught me the meaning of life and the gift of work. I have experienced difficulties like most people and have dealt with illnesses in my family and the hardships in our community. Though life can be hard sometimes, God always watches and guides me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. Like every religion one must usually really truly believe and want to be part of that religion to participate it in it. To be more basic I ask this question: "Why would someone devote their time to attend church if they don't believe? Why would we do things and act a certain way and listen to any church's sermons and follow them if we don't believe?" I have had a personal witness that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is utterly true and that by following God's direction and his counsel from good leaders and his Holy Scriptures I can be blessed and guided to make better decisions and choices. I am a Mormon because I want to be and I know that by being a good Mormon I can become more than I am.

How I live my faith

Life is my faith. I have grown up in my religion and have been taught that God lives and only through him might an individual become perfect and be saved. I have been taught the values of Christianity. Though I might be young and not as experienced or as wise as my parents or my dear elderly friends and neighbors, I try to work hard at serving others and letting them know that life can be better if we simply try our best. I have always loved learning, and have been so grateful to have good friends who respect and care about me and my values. In a world full of war, turmoil and sadness, I sometimes feel distressed and helpless. But I know that God lives and that if I rely on him and do my best to become like his son Jesus Christ I can be happier and more productive.I also live my religion by simply helping others, I live my religion by attending church and participating in the gospel discussions. I also try to assist those in need and read my scriptures daily to grow closer to God and his Son. So in conclusion I will say once again; my life is my religion as is my religion my life.
