Hi I'm Alta

I grew up in Utah. I attend Brigham Young University. I love teaching music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors. Anything in nature, such as biking, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, camping, is my favorite thing to do. I attend college and am majoring in occupational therapy at the moment. I have played the violin since I was 4 and have loved teaching students in the past couple of years. I traveled to Argentina, Peru, Belgium, and France on violin tours. I have a little niece and nephew who I adore, and family is a huge part of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because no where else in the world can you feel the immense love and peace you can feel by serving in this church. I love my Savior and am thankful for all he does for me. I know there is a God and that he is loving and merciful. I love the saying all things denote that there is a God. How can there not be a loving God when there is such beauty in this world. I am constantly taken aback at the beauty of nature that proves to me that there is someone who loves me more than I can possibly fathom. I have come to love the scriptures for the truths they have, and I love that many of those truths involve just loving and serving those around us. I am thankful for and love the prophets and apostles, and that we have their words constantly at our fingertips. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for us so that we can repent and be able to live with our families forever. I am grateful for prayer, and that I have direct way to converse with my Heavenly Father. That I can tell him my thoughts and feelings and that If I ask in faith I will receive an answer.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward, by accepting any calling that is asked of me. I actively serve, and help where I am needed. I have been a teacher and a member of youth councils to plan activities and opportunities for the youth. I have been in charge of watching and supervising the girls my age, and making sure they are happy and progressing in life.
