Hi I'm Lolly

I grew up in California. I am a wife and mom, sister to five siblings, a friend to many amazing women! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my husband for over a decade! I am a mom and pretty much a cook, maid, and creative director of my house. I like to be silly with my family and we all love to laugh. I like to do things like decorate, sew, do craft projects for holidays or just fun ones with my kids, coupon (can get crazy at this), play tennis, soccer and basketball. I occasionally sign up for races just to keep an eye on my fitness and sometimes I can convince my husband and kids to run with me!

Why I am a Mormon

I LOVE being a Mormon! My parents became Mormon while they were a young married couple with young children. This was before they had me. I was taught was what Mormon life was like from infancy. Nevertheless, I have learned for myself what being a Mormon is. It is sometihng that I wouldnt change for the world! Being a woman in the LDS church feels incredibly empowering and right. I am a mormon because I need help on this Earth and I like to know and live truth. I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and Heaven when I learn and practice the LDS teachings. When I was a little girl in Elementary school I had many experiences where I needed some help and I prayed, like I had been taught in sunday school, and I felt miracles. I knew what I had felt and learned was real and it was powerful. From those early memories and on I knew I could not deny the truth that I learned at church. I am a Mormon becasue I KNOW its true and its what God wants me to be and do. I work every day to be better and I have much to work on and learn. I know what is feels like to feel Jesus's love surrounding me. I know Jesus lives. I know that we have a living prophet on Earth today. I know Heavely Father loves me and knows what is best for me. I have felt the words of the Book of Mormon change my life through studying it. I testify that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are true words of God and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in my church as a leader in the girl's youth group for my ward. I am lucky enough to see what a bright future we have though getting to know these girls and thier powerful strengths! Sometimes, they really do blow me away! I go on occasional trips with them and do bi-weekly activities/lessons with them. I enjoy getting to know each young woman (12-17yr olds) and to learn about their likes/dislikes and lives. I also get to teach the girls every so often in a Sunday school setting.
