Hi I'm Annette

I am a mom, and grandma. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 7 children and 7 grandchildren. I play the violin and enjoy singing. I love to read. I love working with children and youth. I majored in Elementary Education many, many years ago. I was grateful to be able to be a stay-at-home mom for many years. When the time was right I was able to go to work at our local elementary school. I retired after 14 years of working with wonderful children and teachers. My husband retired the same year after 39 years with the same company.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for generations. My pioneer ancestors sacrificed much so that I could have the blessings of the gospel today. I was baptized when I was 8 years old. My membership in the church is one of my greatest blessings. I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me. He wants me to return to live with him. I know that I am the most happy when I follow his commandments and make choices that will lead me back to him. I know that he blessed me with a family that taught me that I am a child of God. I know my Heavenly Father loves me. He sent his son Jesus Christ to earth to make it possible for me to return to live with him. I am grateful for the Saviors atonement and resurrection. I know that I will be able to live again with family members I love who have died. I know that the church was restored to the earth through a prophet, even Joseph Smith, who was humble and prayed to know which church he should join. I am grateful that he translated the Book of Mormon, a record of the people who lived anciently on the American continent. It is a witness for Jesus Christ, and as I read and study it the spirit tells me what I must do to return to my Heavenly Father's presence. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today. As I follow him in faith I will be blessed. I am grateful that I have a knowledge that families are eternal. My greatest desire is to return back to my Heavenly Father, with my entire family, and have him say to me "Well done thou good and faithful servant."

How I live my faith

I have celiac disease, an intolerance to the gluten in wheat, rye and barley. When I was first diagnosed there was no support group in our community. Knowing that it would benefit many people, a friend and I started a group in the valley. It was a blessing for many struggling with that disease. I found out I could make a difference in the community. My husband and I have worked together at our family run nursery. We have enjoyed serving the public, making new friends, and offering great plants and flowers. I have had many opportunities to serve in the church. I have served in Cub Scouts as a Webelos Leader. I have loved serving with the youth as a leader. Their love and knowledge of the gospel amazes me. I have served in the women's auxiliary of the church in many capacities. I love their testimonies and the service they render to others. I love being able to visit them in their homes each month and I have learned to love and care for sisters of all ages. They have all blessed my life! I have been able to serve a service mission for our church with my husband. We are preparing for our next church mission right now.
