Hi I'm Susie

I grew up in a large family in Missouri and have four sons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to four sons. Currently, I'm in the Pathway program, working towards my associates degree. I'm the 10th of 12 children, raised in southern Missouri. I love to hang out with my kids, volunteer at the senior center painting the nails of the residents, scrapbooking, hiking, and Zumba. Three of my sons are Eagle scouts, and two of them are serving in the Army.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and modern day apostles. When I joined the church, I received a personal witness of each principle, learning line upon line and accepting the baptism challenge. I have been a member for 30 years and it has blessed my life immensely. I love the Book of Mormon and the teachings of our modern day prophets through church materials and meetings like general conferences. It means the world to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as I teach 10 year olds for Sunday School teachings, and I am helping women to re-enter the workforce by working on their resume, job tips, mock interviews and dressing for interviews. For volunteer work, I enjoy helping Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement Day at a local elementary, and serving at an elderly care center. I enjoy being busy in a variety of activities while I work full time as a data analyst. I think being busy and volunteering outside of work helps my creative side have an outlet.
