Hi I'm Grant Asay

I grew up in the southern part of Wyoming. I have a passion for old cars, music, and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in my wonderful state of Wyoming. I have a passion for old cars, music and anything outdoors. Being able to meet new people and learn from others has always been close to my heart. My whole life I have been building, and putting things together. Growing up like this has given me many opportunists to grow, increase, and strengthen my talents. I am always up for a good adventure! Anything spontaneous or out of the blue and I'm there! I love my family more than anything. They are my closest friends and I can not wait to spend eternity with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the love and peace that comes from living as Christ would have us live. I know I am doing the right things when I follow and live by the commandments the Lord has given us. The book of Mormon has also played a key roll in my own personal conversion. I have studied it, and prayed, and I did receive an answer from God that it is true. It takes a lot of courage at times to kneel down and sincerely ask God if these things are true, but I did, and I have gained that knowledge. It did not come at all at once for me. But over time, the more that I studied, the deeper my conversion grew. I now know without a shadow of a doubt that this is Christ's church. I know that He knows me personally and loves me so deeply. I know of the happiness it can bring and the relationship it builds between us and our Savior. I know I can be with my family for eternity and what a blessing that truly is. We all go through hard times in our lives, and that is normal! We will all have our own personal trials, but that is what makes this life so beneficial for us. We learn and grow through all of the things we will experience in this life. I know during hard times in my life sometimes the only person I could turn to was my Savior. My love for Him and knowledge that he lives is forever ingrained deep into my heart.

How I live my faith

I absolutely love any kind of service. I find so much joy and happiness from being able to put others needs before my own. Seeking opportunities to help those in need whether it is mowing a neighbors lawn or just giving a smile to a stranger. I know often when I feel down or discouraged, if I take the opportunity to serve someone, my day is always made brighter. Music has also influenced my actions. I have many opportunities to sing, and play guitar. Music brings a special kind of spirit to the world. I can always feel Christ's love through music. I try often to share what I have been blessed with. I love to sing. I always try to take the opportunity to sing or play to help bring some love into someone's life. I am also currently serving a mission in the "Great Kentucky Louisville Mission". I love every second of it. Being able to put aside my life for two years was not an easy thing to do. But now that I am here and living it, I would not change it for anything in the world. I have never been more happy then when serving the Lord. Being able to watch someone really feel of God's love, and just knowing that I was able to be such a small part in that is so humbling but also so very rewarding. There is nothing better!
