Hi I'm Grant

I was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in Ogden, Utah. I'm a lifelong Mormon, but like everyone, I have a long way to go.

About Me

I just graduated from high school, and will be attending college after a 2 year mission in Russia. I work as an assistant contractor, and enjoy almost everything outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church, and I have come to believe in the gospel completely. Complete conversion is a lifelong process, and as such mine is far from finished, but I am working toward that point.

How I live my faith

I am currently in the Missionary Training Center preparing to teach the gospel in Russia for 2 years.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grant
The question of grace and works is one that has caused divisions in the Christian world for centuries. Some denominations believe that it is only grace, or only our works that saves us. The belief held by the LDS church was best stated by Nephi, a prophet in the Book of Mormon "...we know that it is by grace we are saved after all we can do" (2 Nephi 25:23). We are expected to do our best to follow Christ in this life and become worthy of the Glory of God. However, everybody falls short of being worthy to enter the Kingdom of the Lord, so we need the grace of Jesus Christ to do what we cannot. Show more Show less
