Hi I'm Steven

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I love to learn. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am eighteen years old, and recently graduated from high school. I was studying pre-medical physics at a university, but now I'm serving as a full time missionary for the church. I love to learn about anything and everything-not just academics. I enjoy mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, history, art, and music. I love to sing and play (with varying degrees of skill) the piano, french horn, ukulele, and guitar. I enjoy playing any sport, particularly ultimate Frisbee and racquetball, as well as hiking and mountain climbing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church teaches truth. The feeling I obtain when I learn is undeniably telling me that this is the Gospel of Christ. I know my purpose in life, what God expects of me, and I have seen him help and support me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by using my talents to serve others. I always try help other people whether given a church assignment or not. I am currently preparing to go to Texas and learn Spanish in order to teach the people there. I always try to learn what God wants me to do, and then be obedient.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Although we do not worship Joseph Smith, we revere him as a prophet who has spoken for God in the same way we regard Abraham, Moses, or Peter. If he is mentioned more frequently, it is because he lived relatively recently rather than over 2000 years ago. He restored the gospel in modern times and led the church just as Peter did in his time. Show more Show less
