Hi I'm Kylie

I am a student. An athlete. A loving daughter and sister. A Sister Missionary... and Im a Mormon!

About Me

Like most people have told me before, I'm a pretty much an open book. Nothing could make me happier than reading a good book on a rainy day or watching the latest superhero or disney movie with my family and a mug of hot cocoa! I've always had many passions in life, I love all sports (especially watching football or going fishing) but I also enjoy history, art, architecture. But on the quirkier side I like mint chocolate ice cream, I am fluent in movie quotes, and most of the time I wear mismatched socks! I recently graduated from high school with honors and put in my mission papers. Within the next month I will be serving a full-time mission in the great state of New York. Afterwards I will be attending BYU-Idaho and then possibly pursuing a career in Dental Hygiene. Fun Facts: Holds High School Records in both Discus and Shot Put My dream place to live would either be in Canada or New Zealand

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church simply because I know that it is the true and restored gospel of Jesus Christ and I love it! But it also kinda helps that I was born into an LDS family and most of my ancestors were part of the original Mormon pioneers! Ever since I was six, I have had a strong testimony and knew what I believed. This belief came from my awesome mother who took every opportunity to teach me, especially things relating to the gospel. I was also born with a sharp intellect and a thirst for knowledge, so I always wanted to know more. Almost every time I learned something from the scriptures or about God I received the strongest confirmations from the Spirit that what I learned was true!! I also endured many hardships throughout my entire childhood, and through my faith I have grown more emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually stronger during these times. I have a deep love for the scriptures, the prophets (both ancient and modern), and for the commandments that God has given us. Seeing the difference between my life and the lives of my friends without the guidance of the church and having the perspective and purpose that I have also strengthens my testimony.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of what I know to be true. I try my best to be a better person each day and follow the example of Jesus Christ! I know that I am not perfect, but I try to be kind, give service, and keep the commandments. As a teenager I stood out from the crowd of high schoolers because I didn't drink\smoke, having a steady boyfriend, swear, or be mean to others. In the ward I have participated in numerous leadership responsibilities and is always willing to take on assignments to help others. Even as a missionary, my everyday life will be to act like Jesus Christ, be his representative, and serve, love, and teach everyone that I can meet. Sometimes being a Mormon takes courage to stand up and do whats right. It may not always be easy, but it is always worth it!!
