Hi I'm Jordan

I'm an MBA student and a movie/music enthusiast and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I finished my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. I'm now completing my MBA. I'm engaged to be married to the most beautiful lady in all the land. I love music and movies. I enjoy pick-up basketball. I'm very easy-going and sarcastic. I like to tease and joke around a lot. I get along with just about anyone I meet. I love people. People rock.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were born members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I liked church growing up, but that wasn't enough to keep me actively participating in Mormon culture. I had to know for sure if it was the correct church. At the age of 12, I prayed to God and asked if the LDS church was true. After about an hour of focused meditation and even tears, I felt a feeling I would never forget. I felt an overwhelming peace. I felt so comforted and all of my frustration went away. I knew that God had sent me a simple yet clear confirmation that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that the LDS church was Christ's church. Ever since that day, my faith in Christ and His church has only grown. I later served a 2-year LDS mission to Brazil and I was able to bring the same joy I have to many others. I'm a Mormon because God confirmed to me that I should be. Also, I am so happy whenever I follow the guidance from the prophet and from the Bible and Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I go to a singles ward with my fiancée so everyone is young and not married. I enjoy going to church to be with my friends and to learn about Christ and what we can do to be more like Him. I don't know how I could keep the commandments without going to church. Every week I get motivated to improve my faults and become a better person. I'm so much happier when I follow the commandments.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Jordan
A Mormon's lifestyle depends on the Mormon. The teachings of the church are very strict in some areas (i.e. drugs, alcohol, sex), but in many other things they leave it up to us. We can pursue hobbies that we enjoy. We can watch movies, listen to music, attend concerts, or anything else we want. Aside from the commandments, it's often times our own choice to decide whether something is appropriate or not. We are counseled to not do anything that will steer our focus from Jesus Christ and that will distract us from our efforts to follow Him. However, Mormon's are very social and love to have fun!
