Hi I'm Seth

I like alternative music, longboarding, yo-yoing, and drawing. I know how to overcome addiction. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like drawing, first of all. I generally do things anime-style, but it's not exclusive. Most of my drawings have to do with the ideas I have for comics. But I also do very realistic portraits. I really enjoy riding my longboard. I have The Axis by Arbor for the deck. It's a 40" cutout dropthrough, with clear griptape so you can see the awesome wood on top. My trucks are Gullwing Sidewinders. Double kingpin; enough said. I like alt rock for music, but also some electronica and other kinds of alternative music. But I'm giving all of this up for two years so I can serve a mission and preach the Gospel. I'm very mildly autistic, and I have ADHD. But more importantly, I have overcome serious depression and addiction. The two almost always coincide. I've trained myself to control my own emotions so I can be happy all the time. It has been a huge struggle, but I know that I have made it by doing all I can, then relying on the Lord to help. I know that through my struggles, I have become strong. But I still have a long way to go.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to be depressed. Seriously depressed. I even considered ending my life. I was stuck for years in this nothing-hole. But at times when it got worse, I could pray. When I prayed, I asked for comfort. I always received it. Every time. I know that all Heavenly Father wants for us is happiness. And I know that this Gospel is the only guaranteed way to eternal joy with our Father.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith by serving a mission for the church for 2 years. I help others come closer to Christ and find happiness. I encourage them and help them to realize their own worth. I also strive to live my life honestly and cleanly, as Christ did. In all things, I work to emulate our Savior. That's how I live my faith.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

God sends prophets because he loves his children. He still loves us today, so of course we have a prophet. Just like a back-country ski guide, the prophet today warns us of dangers that we don't see. But he sees them by the gift and power of God (unlike a back-country ski guide). Our prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

After we die, our spirit and body are separated. We continue to learn as well as associate with people we love who have passed on before us. Eventually, everybody will be resurrected, which is the reuniting of spirit and body permanently. Resurrection was made possible by the Savior, Jesus Christ. After this necessary step in our progression, we will then continue to learn and grow forever in a state of joy. Show more Show less
