Hi I'm Kalila

I grew up in Australia. I am in love with music. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently studying a bachelor of Languages majoring in German and Japanese. I love languages and different cultures but my favourite will always be Australian. I am obsessed with music in particular Disney music and Gaelic/ Folk music! I love my family and am proud to be a daughter of the greatest parents in the world! I sing and play the flute. My eldest sister is currently serving on her mission and my elder brother has returned from his mission! I will follow in their footsteps and intend to serve the Lord wherever he sends me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I want to be. I have been raised in the church by parents who love me and I have come to know for myself that this church is true. No other place on Earth provides the spirit and the peace and happiness I feel when I attend and live the standards and the teachings of the gospel. I love the blessings the gospel brings and wouldn't trade them for anything! I know it, I live it and I love it!!

How I live my faith

I currently am the Branch Music director and the Assistant Librarian! It is a huge blessing to be fulfilling those callings! It is always amazing to serve the Lord and conducting the congregation every Sunday allows me to see all the amazing smiles we have from the members and the investigators in our branch. I use singing as a tool to help those around me by singing uplifting music and music that brings the spirit. My sister, currently serving her mission, and I performed at a youth convention and it was a blessing to be able to perform uplifting music and bring not just entertainment but love and upliftment to the audience! Music touches hearts and that is one of the ways I choose to share the amazing gift I have of the gospel.
