Hi I'm Angela

My husband and I are life-long members and we love creating memories together!

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah, with my six siblings (1 brother, 5 sisters). I am the third oldest and I absolutely love spending time with family, friends, and of course my husband! I love music, I play a little guitar and I love to sing and dance! I actually met my husband at BYU-Idaho, where we both graduated, at the school's weekly latin dance night. My husband graduated with a Supply-Chain Business degree, and I got a degree in Home and Family Living. We have been married for almost 5 years now. We love playing games, watching movies, playing sports, laughing, making treats together, dancing, and hanging out with friends and family. We currently live in Minnesota and we love taking our kayaks to all the lakes around here! While my husband is at work I spend my time taking care of our home, planning lessons and activities for my church callings, hanging out with friends, and have recently started making fried marble jewelry. So far we have not been able to have children, but we continue to have faith that they will come when the time is right!

Why I am a Mormon

Unlike some, I have been a member of this church my whole life. As I get older I realize more and more why I will never choose to leave. I know that this church requires a lot of people, but everything you are asked to do is done through revelation from God. God speaks to His servants and He asks a lot, but He also promises everything! If we choose to better ourselves and do His will it will only be for our benefit. He knows what we need and what we a capable of and at what times, and if we allow Him to, He will shape us to become the best we can be! I know that God is my Heavenly Father which means He loves me with a perfect love and He would never wish any harm to come to me so His guidance and requests are perfect. I know that I am a child of God. I know that He speaks to me and watches over me. I know He has a perfect plan for me and that I can return to live with Him and continue to progress to become like Him and receive all that He has to offer. I know that this is the same church that Jesus Christ was head of when he was on the Earth and that through the prophet Joseph Smith, that same church has been restored to the Earth! I know Christ suffered all my pains, sorrows, and sins so that I can repent and live with God and my family in the next life for eternity! He lives and He loves you!

How I live my faith

My husband and I have both had many callings since we've been married. Currently in our little branch I have been asked to be a leader for the young children (ages 1.5-11). Each Sunday I either teach the children through music or word that helps them know more about their Savior and Heavenly Father, who they are, or simple truths of the gospel. Each year in the fall, the children have a program they do during church for the other members. They sing songs and give little talks about what they have learned during the year. This calling requires a lot of creativity, we come up with games, activities, and object lessons to help keep them engaged. I have also been called as the den leader for the wolf cub scouts and the Young Women's camp director. Each summer the young women (ages 12-18) have a 5 day camp out and I am in charge of planning all the activities and treats that they will have during their free time. My husband and I also are Temple workers. We help with the ordinances that are performed by those who come to visit the temple. I am also assigned to go and visit other specific women (ages 18+) in the branch each month and share a little message with them, as well as serve them with anything they may need. Having things that I can do to help serve, helps me to become all that my Heavenly Father has planned for me!
