Hi I'm Sam

I grew up in Utah and Idaho. I am an avid rock climber and guide. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student going to Southern Utah University. I will be getting a Bachelors degree from SUU in Geology. I love anything about the outdoors. I especially love to rock climb. I am a certified rock climbing guide and love to help others gain a love for God's creations. I love my wonderful wife! She means the world to me. I served a Spanish-speaking mission in Los Angeles, CA. I came to love the Latin culture while there. I learned so much in those two years. I love having fun and being around friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God lives. He knows and loves each one of us. He is literally our father. I know that his son, Jesus Christ, paid the price for all sin and sorrow that we feel. He is central to our happiness in this life and forever after. I know that because of Christ's great sacrifice I can return to live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that as I follow his teachings I will be happy in my life. I can only say this because I have lived on both sides. I know that when we choose to do correct things in our lives we will be blessed above what we are able to receive. Because God loves us, he has placed His church here on the earth once more that we may learn and grow closer to Him. I know that the Book of Mormon is inspired scripture of God written by his messengers and translated by a literal messenger of God in these days. I know that God inspires men today to lead His church. I know that Thomas S. Monson is truly a prophet of God. God lives. He loves us. We can all live that we may one day return with our families to his presence!

How I live my faith

I try to follow the example that Jesus Christ set for us by serving those around me. I really do love to serve those in need. I have learned the great value of service by growing up in the church and serving alongside other young men to help out the widows and to help others in need within the community. I think that service is one of the most important lessons that I have learned in the church that blesses my life and the lives of those around me.
