Hi I'm Blake C. Goddard

I was born without a sense of smell. I grew up in Southern California. I love animals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a business owner. I studied Animal Science in college but stuck with the trade I used to get through college and started an appliance repair business called the Appliance E.M.T. We put a Pinewood Derby style track in our building and now run the Pinewood Speedway. I have been a Scouter for most of my life. I have a daughter and two sons and have been married to the love of my life since 1996. I have good days and bad days and wonder how my businesses will survive, but I believe that God cares about me and my family and that he will look after us.

Why I am a Mormon

Have you ever watched a stunning sunset? Have you ever admired the irredescent colors in feathers and on beatles? Have you heard the oceans rythm while wet sand pushed between your toes? Those are the types of experiences that have pushed me closer to God. It is the quiet peaceful moments that I feel his presence and know he exists.

How I live my faith

I love working with the Boy Scouts. I love teaching new skills to the youth. I also really enjoy competitions. So, we put a Pinewood Derby track in the back of our store and built a stadium around it. The great thing about racing little wood cars is it introduces woodworking to a new generation. Our Heavenly Father sent Jesus Christ to the home of a carpenter, so there must be something really special about working with wood. I like sharing that with the youth and we have a blast putting on race events for them.
