Hi I'm Nathan

I've always lived in North Carolina. I'm a cyclist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a heating and air conditioning service technician by trade. I do control wiring and refrigeration work. I enjoy building things with my hands. Carpentry, metalworking, cooking, tinkering with cars, guns, computers, etc. I also enjoy cycling and working on bicycles. I've raced mountain bikes some on the amateur level in the past. Now I mainly do charity rides or ride with friends. I ride 5-6000 miles a year on average.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon. I was active in the Church until around the age of 18. After that I went inactive for around 12 years. During that time I thought many times about what I should do. My grandpa was always very close to me growing up, and was a strong member of the Church. When he passed away he left me a letter. In that letter, among other things, he told me specifically "not to hesitate to introduce my wife to the gospel." I trusted grandpa with my life... but continued to hesitate. I felt that how could I introduce her and not be active myself? I knew something had to change. Finally I felt the urge to ask her about it. She showed interest right away. And was baptized not long after. Her strong desire to learn brought me back as well. We encouraged each other. I have a testimony that this is the true gospel! True happiness can be felt by following it's teachings. We have a true Prophet on the Earth today in Thomas S. Monson. By leading a Christ-like life we can return to live with our Father in Heaven one day. I say these things in The name of Jesus Christ. Amen

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working with the youth of the church. I work with the youth boys ages 12-18. I help to plan activities and teach. My wife works with the youth girls, so we get to work together often. We help and encourage each other. I also work closely with the same boys in the Boy Scout program. I enjoy serving others in the community and helping wherever I can.
